1. First-Aid kits: When going on any camping trip there are bound to be scratches or bee stings or any amount of numerous minor happenings that might require attention. For these minor incidents first aid kits are very handy. First aid kits have available the right tools to clean the wound and band aids or bandages for whatever the wound calls for. There are several different types of first aid kits and different sizes.

2. Essential supplies: While packing your packs for the camping trip make sure you pack the essentials tools for you will need for your trip. Be sure to pack a flashlight for when it gets dark and you haven't reached the campsite yet or venturing into caves. A knife can be used for various projects and very helpful as a major tool in your arsenal of camping equipment. A whistle is a very good thing to pack in case you get separated from your family or group of friends. Fire starter is a quick and easy way to start your campfires. You should always consider this as an essential tool. Another essential tool for camping is extra clothing. Extra clothes are good for when your clothes get wet or torn or just want to simply change your clothes. Food is the most important of all. When packing for your camping trip be sure to pack plenty of food to keep you from getting hungry.

5. Fire safety: When going camping, most public campsites have designated places to build your fires. If you are going to a private campsite designate a place for your fire away from the tents. Never leave anything flammable or any other type of fuel near the fire. Never use heaters or candles in the tent. Battery operated flashlights are preferred.

6. Build: You will want to set up your tent in a safe place. Clean the area of any debris that might make it uncomfortable and set up away from the fire.
