Camping in the Bossier City/ Shreveport area can range from tent camping to staying in a furnished cabin. There are many campgrounds ranging in price and amenities, surely something for any budget. Campgrounds in this area are C&J RV Park, Camper's RV Center, Cash Point Landing Marina, Clark's Red River Marina, Hilltop Campgrounds, Kelly's Campground, Shreveport-Bossier KOA, Lakewood Village RV Park, Maplewood RV Park and Pine Hill RV Park.
C&J RV Park, located at 6941 Highway 1, 9 miles north of I-220 in Shreveport offers 15 RV sites, as well as a restroom and a shower. This park welcomes group camping. For more information, call 318-929-3193.
Camper's RV Center is located at 7700 W. 70th Street, Shreveport. To get here, off I-20, take exit 8 to Highway 526 South. Travel 4/10 of a mile to Highway 511 then travel 1 ½ miles to the campground. Here campers will find 60 level, open sites, adjacent to a RV dealership with RV supplies. Seven sites are pull thru, and big rigs are welcome. There is also a dump station, ice, laundry, phone or modem hook up at site, public phone, restrooms and showers, a swimming pool and recreation hall. Rates are $16.85 for 2 people. Cash Point Landing Marina is located at 190 Cash Point Road, Bossier City. To get here, take I-220 to Benton Road, or Highway 3, to Cash Point Road. Turn left on Cash Point Road, watch for the Marina's flashing sign and follow road over levee. This marina has 79 RV sites, 40 of which are pull thru. Rates are $17.75 plus tax with weekly and monthly rates available as well. Cash Point Landing Marina is located on the Red River and has a boat launch and floating docks available, as well as a typical marina convenience store. Clark's Red River Marina is located 13 miles south of Bossier City at 500 JT White Road, Elm Grove, LA. To get here take Eastbound I-20 to the US 71 south/Barksdale Boulevard exit and continue on 19 miles to the marina. Once arriving at the marina, campers will find 13 RV sites with water, electric and a dump station. There are also 14 cabins, bathhouse with shower, 3 boat launches, a convenience store with gas and a guide service referral. Hilltop Campgrounds is located at 200 Hilltop Road, Princeton, LA off Highway 79, sixteen miles from Shreveport. This campground has 106 RV sites, a lake, restrooms and showers. For more information, call 318-949-8486.
Kelly's Campground is located at 8590 Greenwood Road, Greenwood, LA, only 15 miles from Shreveport. This campground has 45 full hookup RV sites, some are pull thru, cable TV, a bathhouse and a store is nearby. Pets are okay and tents are not. For more information, call 318-938-6360.
KOA Shreveport-Bossier is located at 6510 West 70th Street, Shreveport, LA. This KOA has 83 RV sites, some pull thru, that are $22-34 per night for 2 people. Tent sites are $18-24. One-, two- or three bedroom cabins are also available at the rate of $32-40. All sites come with free cable TV, free telephone service, fishing in a stocked pond, shade trees, and use of the swimming pool and hot tub. Guests here can also enjoy the use of the Pavilion/meeting room, camping kitchen, wireless internet and modem dataport. LP gas is also available on site.
