Can Anyone Answer These Questions? Probably Not

Darren Stansbury
The cosmos, life and our world offer plenty to remind us that we don't and can't know everything. However, that hasn't stopped some people from thinking they do. Here are questions for thought and conversation. Have the brainiac(s) among you try to answer these:

Why do we prefer certain colors, tastes, sights and sounds (including music)? Why don't we all like or hate the same music, colors or food? Why don't we all agree on who's attractive and who's ugly? Why don't we all agree on the ideal vacation stop?

Why do we universally hate and like certain smells? For example, why do we universally like the smell of freshly baked bread or pastries and universally hate the smell of feces? If some people in some places love the smell of feces is there something wrong with them?

Why do our sexual preferences vary? If you have a sexual fetish how would you explain that fetish?

If the universe has an edge then what's there?

If the universe had a beginning then what was here before the universe?

If the universe is finite then what will follow after it dies?

In this universe we understand to be infinite are we the only intelligent life?

If there is life elsewhere in the universe what is it like?

Is there another planet like Earth?

If there are intelligent extra-terrestrial beings are they like us or are they more evolved?

Will the human race become extinct and, if so, how?

If humans become extinct will we be replaced?

How will lower life forms evolve? Will any lower life form(s) evolve into intelligent beings?

Are we still evolving? What are the signs of that evolution?

If the human race survives for, say, a million more years or so what will humans be like? What will we gain and lose in evolution?

Do the lower life forms know more than we think they do?

If Heaven and Hell actually exist where are they?

Why did God choose Israel as the place to appear as Jesus Christ and limit His appearance to that nation?

Is God a man or is God a spiritual being of no gender, race or form?

No archeological evidence of Jesus has been found. Could this be proof He was God in flesh?

What can we do with the 90% of our brain power that scientists say we don't use?

What is reality? Is it universal or does it differ from one person to another?

If a bee sees a flower differently than we do, as I've read, which perspective is correct? What does a flower or anything else truly look like?

Astrophysicists predict the sun will die in several billion years--and take Earth and all terrestrial life with it. Will humans be on Earth when this happens?

Was Creation a one-time event or is it on-going?

If no god or afterlife exists then what becomes of us after death? Are we lifeless beings in eternal comas or just energy, and what are we before conception?

What state was the human race in before Creation?

What is a spiritual explanation for psychosis, mental retardation and other deficiencies?

What is a spiritual explanation for pedophilia, infanticide and accidental deaths of children and infants?

What is a spiritual explanation for mass murders, genocide and serial killing?
