Can Apple Cider Vinegar Be Used for Skin Problems?

Linda M. McCloud

Almost everyone knows that Apple Cider Vinegar is the perfect alternative to several cleaning products that can be used in and around the home. It, of course, can be used for many recipes and health conditions, as well. But can it be used for skin problems?

Acne:

Many people have reported that for short term use of this substance can be used in treating acne outbreaks. However, there is no scientific data backing up the claim.

Removing fungus such as athlete's foot:

Many people have used this to help remove fungus, even to help cure or help prevent athlete's foot. The idea behind this theory is that the Vinegar can help balance one's PH levels. Plus, there are no side effects to using Apple Cider Vinegar (if you put up with the smell). It can even be used daily.

Treating Sun Burn:

Yes, it can help treat a sun burn, if you have no actual burn medication handy. It can help cool the area. Just dilute it in some water and apply gently to skin with a cotton ball.

Removing Skin Tags:

Many people have claimed that they have used this product to help removing these annoying and embarrassing skin tags from their body. They simply applied the substance directly onto the tag, allowing it to soak into the tag and bandaged. They would do this twice a day until the tag would simply dry and drop off from the body.

Removing Warts:

Warts can be removed in the same manner as a skin tag. However, do not be worried if the area begins to burn or itch, this is normal. The wart will begin to turn black before it falls off from the skin. You should continue to treat the area for several days after the wart has fallen off to help kill any remaining roots.

Treating Psoriasis:

Many people who suffer from psoriasis have claimed that this substance have helped them deal with the itchiness that comes with it. They simply dilute the substance in some water and apply gently onto the area with a cotton ball.

Could Apple Cider Vinegar help a skin condition that is itching or annoying you? It may help you. Do your research and see what others are saying. You can even ask your pharmacist his opinion on the matter.
