Can Atlanta Falcons "Power Ball" Running Back Michael Turner Rush for a Thousand Yards in 2010?

Michael Turner has had only one thousand yard season since he came into the league in 2004, and it was one of his best season ever - as Turner rushed for 1,699 yards in 2008. It is apparent that Turner must have a thousand yard season in 2010 if the Atlanta Falcons will be in contending status within their division.

Michael Turner barely missed having another 1,000 yard season in 2009, if it were not for Turner being hampered by injuries in 2009; he may have run for more than 871 yards in 2009. Even though Turner's 871 yards were not his best for 2009, it was Turner's second best rushing total.

There have been some Atlanta Falcon fans who have said that Turner is a prototype running back like the great Barry Sanders was, but there are other fans who know better, and also know for a fact there is no way to compare the two, as Barry Sanders was in a league of his own.

This may also be a do or die season for Michael Turner, especially if he has a sub-par 2010 season, especially since the Falcons are hungry for a Super Bowl championship.

The question for Turner - is, can he remain healthy for the entire 2010 NFL season, and will it be possible that he will gain a thousand yards in 2010?
