One of the major signs for Potassium deficiency is muscle pain and spasms, is there a connection between potassium deficiency & Fibromyalgia? It is believed by many doctors that the improved diet of the person with Potassium deficiency can help keep away the pain of muscles & cramping. Potassium controls the contractions within the muscles and when there is not enough potassium the control is off balance. So what about Fibromyalgia, can it help this condition as well? Some doctors feel that those with Fibromyalgia suffer from pain merely because they body registers pain on a different scale than most people. With pain heightened by the sufferer, it would seem that any relief of pain may help. So figuring out what is causing the pain in the first place should be the next step. It is possible that the pain of muscles and joints of those who have Fibromyalgia could be caused by Potassium deficiency.
If this is the case a change in diet may reduce the level of pain someone with Fibromyalgia maybe experiencing.
