Can a Christian Believe in Darwinism?

'In an Age of Scientific Enlightenment, it is Incredible to Think People Are Willing to Maintain that Something so Vastly Complex Arose by Chance --Hank Hanegraaff

Can a Christian believe in Darwinism? According to Darwinism, the evolution of living organisms is accidental; it's driven by random, meaningless mutations. What a bleak and morbid way of looking at the world - praise God it's not true.

Darwinism is unable to establish how life can be spawned from non-life - because it's not. No transitional forms (the missing links) have ever been found in the fossil record - because they're not there. As Hank Hanegraaff notes:

"the fossil record is an embarrassment to evolutionists. No verifiable transitions from one kind to another have as yet been found. Charles Darwin has an excuse; in his day fossil finds were relatively scarce. Today, however, we have an abundance of fossils. Still, we have yet to find even one legitimate transition from one kind to another."

Moreover, evolutionists incorrectly note that natural selection proves the existence of macroevolution. But natural selection does no such thing; rather, it speaks to microevolution, which involves changes within species. Microevolution is perfectly compatible with a Christian worldview.

Are you a seeker after God that has not yet decided to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? The following prayer, which was written by John Stott, might help you:

God, if you exist (and I don't know you do), and you can hear this prayer (and I don't know if you can), I want to tell you that I'm an honest seeker after truth. Show me if Jesus is your Son and the Savior of the world. And if you bring conviction to my mind, I will trust him as my Savior and follow him as my Lord.

Have you decided to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior?

Would you like to have a deeply intimate, eternal relationship with your Creator - the One Who loves you unconditionally? Reach out to Him in your own words or use the following prayer:

Father God,

I want to turn away from my sins. I believe Jesus died in my place on the cross. I believe that He rose from the dead and I desire to place my trust in Him as my Savior and the Lord of my life. Thank you for forgiving me and accepting me into Your family, Father God. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Hartley - I never, ever have time to read 4 or 5 pieces by the same AC person in one day -- but I grabbed hold of your stuff this morning and couldn't stop! Way to go. Hope you don't mind all my input. Will come around whenever I can from now on.

They call them missing links because they are missing! And the great majority of new discoveries, touted to be missing links are phonies or from other, now extinct species. Why do they insist on continuing to search for missing links when the whole chain is missing. Don't you have to have a chain to have a link fit into! 300 million species have been identified, 100 million fossils have been discovered and categorized...yet, not one single set of transitional fossils show one specie transitioning into another. Not a single one! Perhaps they have not found what does not exist!
