Can a city be so heartless? That is the question I find myself asking today. I have lived in many different places but never have I seen a city that acts so cold towards its people, and in turn the people treat each other in a shamelessly cold manor. When did we start treating people and animals as if they were disposable? Has this whole world become heartless or is it just my own surroundings? I watch as a local government court system rob's its people with no compassion for there well being. Is this an act of control or cruelty? All people are far from perfection, but has the line been so thinly drawn that we can't help but cross it unknowingly, and does that deserve punishment? I dispise the city I live in ( and I'm not talking about Cleveland by the way) it's a place that would have been better off as the toxic landfill it once was. The remaining stench from the past has corroded the official minds and powers in this town. To outlaw certain breeds of dogs, takes away the residents right to live freely in this city. Anyone that pays taxes and has ownership of their home deserves a free decision. What's even funnier about that is FREE doesn't exist! In order to live here you must pay taxes that are extremely high.
The complaints about the crime bother me even more. How can anyone make it in a flawed system where everyone is disigned to fail? My heart go's out to those who try to live right and keep receiving it in the back end. Although it may not always be right I understand those who fight, steal, and struggle to survive. Those who have lost the will or aren't concerned with doing what's right, are just what I said LOST. Why does it seem like we are lead in a systematic circle when all we want to do is move forward? Is there any compassion left?
