Is this for real? The answer is yes but you have to keep in mind that there are other things you have to do in order for you to lose weight. Let's first talk about green tea before moving to the other aspects to help you lose weight.
Green tea can really help you lose weight because it has high concentrations of catechin polyphenols. These compounds together with other chemicals found in green tea help intensify levels of fat oxidation and thermogenesis. In simple English, it helps the body produce heat and thus burn fat.
Because heat is built up in your body, it increases your metabolism and blocks the conversion of energy into fat. With regular use, green tea helps regulate your blood sugar levels and at the same time reduce food cravings.
But drinking green is not the only thing you need to lose those excess pounds. You have to do other things as well like go on a diet and exercise.
Going on a diet does not mean you can no longer eat your favourite dishes. You can still eat them but in moderation.
As for exercise, working up a sweat has been known to burn those excess calories even so after you have finished a worked out. You also convert fat into muscles and the more muscles you have, the stronger the chances of maintaining a healthy, slim and sexy body.
So, green tea together with a balanced diet and exercise can help you lose weight.
But how many cups of green tea should you drink? There is no easy answer to this but it is said that the higher the quality, the fewer cups of green tea you have to drink. In fact, two of best ones to buy are Chinese green tea and Japanese Sencha Tea. These are leafier and if you can't find them in the supermarket, try going to oriental stores which have this in their shelves.
When is the best time to drink green tea? Well a lot of people will tell you to drink this in the morning just like drinking coffee. The best part about green tea is that it contains less caffeine compared to coffee.
You can also drink coffee in between meals or when you are eating. This is because the chemicals found in green tea help block nutrition absorption and increase fat secretion. So whatever you ingested will probably go out the rear when nature tells you to pay a visit to the toilet.
If you don't like drinking green tea the way it is, you can add some honey, milk or lemon.
So is it worth all the fuss about green tea and losing weight? The answer is yes but you have to remember that drinking this many times is not the only thing you need to make it happen. You need to exercise and go on a diet. If you can't do that on your own, hire a personal trainer and a dietician that can work together and come up with a program.
