The year-end title match features a contrast of playing style. Roger Federer is known for his great all-round game. Federer possesses one of the all-time greatest forehands to compliment his terrific serve, strong net play, and tremendous court sense. One of Roger's most underrated aspects is his court coverage. When needed, he is as quick as any player in the tour. Rafael Nadal, on the other hand, uses his amazing speed and top spin shots to great effect. When playing against Nadal, one should expect a physical battle with long rallies and awkward shots. One area that Nadal has really improved is his volleying. The No.1 player is surprisingly good at net--something that was quintessential to his two Wimbledon title runs.
Who will win the 2010 ATP World Tour Finals? Although Nadal matches up well against Federer, his indoor record leaves a lot to be desired. This is clearly evident in his 3-set laborious win over Andy Murray in the semifinal. Federer, on the other hand, has always been terrific on indoor courts. Additionally, the Swiss star is also in very good form as apparent in his easy victories over Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic at this tournament. This championship is Roger Federer to lose.
