Can You Lose Weight Using Nintendo's Wii Fit?

An Experiment Proposal for a Winning Diet Plan

The Mick
I've written on failed diets before. Actually, I've failed many diets in my time. What has been missing from all of them is exercise. I have kids, and all of them love video games. They also want their daddy to lose weight. They have proposed that I play Wii Fit for the Nintendo Wii. "Daddy, you can lose weight while you play games with us." they tell me. There's just one minor missing detail.

I don't own a Nintendo Wii or the Wii Fit game.

After thinking about it for some time, I came up with a wacky idea that's just crazy enough to work. Associated Content pays me everytime you good people visit my articles. In short, you read and I get paid. It takes a lot of readers to generate any real money. I'm proposing that you help me get the money to buy a Wii and Wii Fit.

What's in it for you?

If I get enough reads to purchase the Wii and Wii Fit, I will create a exclusive series of articles here on Associated Content, journaling my weight loss using the Wii Fit game. I'll document everything, including my measurements. You'll be able to satisfy that voyeuristic desire to watch someone else live their life (think "written reality show"). You'll also help your fellow man accomplish a life goal, namely, losing weight and improving his health. Gamers can help prove to the world that video games are not the Devil and that they can actually do good.

The only way this experiment will work is if thousands of people read this very article. I need your help to spread the word. I've swallowed my pride to offer myself as a sacrificial media lamb. All I need now is your browser traffic. Associated Content, this also benefits you. An exclusive weight loss article. My failure or success will be recorded just for your readership.

Step one: Get this article approved for publishing.
Step two: Generate enough traffice to get the hardware I need.
Step three: Well, that's where the written reality show becomes a reality.
