Can Miley Cyrus Break Away from the Hannah Montana Image?

For those unfamiliar with Nicholas Sparks, he is the author of A Walk to Remember, and The Notebook, which were both very popular movies. Interestingly enough, Nicholas Sparks is writing the book just for the movie that Miley will star in. It is currently title-less and there has not been any mention of a plot line yet.

Will Miley Cyrus be able to break away from the Hannah Montana image? How easy is this going to be for her to actually do? Let's take a closer look at some of the people before her who have tried to switch from the music business to the movie business and failed.

Britney Spears, who was the most popular among teen girls when she first began her career, failed miserably with her first movie attempt. "Crossroads" received very negative feedback from both critics and Britney Spears fans. Until her more recent appearance on "How I Met Your Mother," Britney Spears was regarded as a horrible actress.

Hillary Duff is probably the closest thing that there is to Miley Cyrus. She began her career on the Disney Channel as Lizzie McGuire. Although there are other young talents that have received negative media attention, such as Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears, they had their fans beforehand. Miley Cyrus has jumped right into the spotlight and picked up lots of negative attention along the way. From her revealing photos to now dating a twenty year old while she is fifteen, many people are questioning just how much of a little angel Hannah Montana is.

Some people do not even know who Miley Cyrus is until they hear the name "Hannah Montana." Does this mean that she will be unable to break this image and move onto bigger and better things? Is her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, the one who got her famous, going to be by her side every step of the way? He has already showed that he does not care if she takes revealing photographs.
