Can Mother Nature Be a Good Stress Reliever?

The ups and downs people have in their lives can be joyful and stressful. Sometimes the stress we have can push us to achieve goals and dreams we want to accomplish. But other times too much stress can cause health and emotional problems.

Some of the side affects stress can have are weight gain or loss, headaches, difficulty concentrating, insomnia, and skin outbreaks such as hives. Stress can also make illnesses you already have worse. When you have too much stress in your life you need to begin to find a way to help reduce it. One of the best ways to reduce stress is taking time to enjoy Mother Nature. Enjoying the sights and sounds of nature will help you to relax and clear your mind. Going outside will help you to get away from the phone and the TV. It's a great way to improve your mood and stop worrying about problems in your life.

Start or work in a garden

Working in a garden will reduce stress because it can help you to focus on caring for the plants and get your mind off problems in your life you are worrying about. It is not only a good stress reliever but it's a good way to exercise. If you are starting your first garden you might discover you have a green thumb. You can also use a garden as a way to save money if you are stressed out about it. A garden can help you save money if you plant your favorite fruits and vegetables.

Exercise outside instead

If you have an exercise routine that can easily be done outside, exercise outside a few times a week whenever the weather is nice. You will get a chance to enjoy the fresh air and your natural surroundings.

Go for a walk

Walking is a good way to exercise and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. If you don't live in an area that has a good place to walk go to a local park instead.

Ride a bike

Instead of riding your bike around your neighborhood found out if your city has bike trails or ride your bike around your local park. If you choose to ride your bike in a different area you might meet new people that also enjoy riding a bike.
