How the Perfect Fit Button Works: If you have lost the button on your pants, a Perfect Fit Button can be a cheap, easy way to replace it. To use it, push the back in while pulling on the front of the button. Next, poke the metal prong through your jeans, where the button fell off. Finally, push the backing onto the prong, similar to the way that women put on earrings. The back will snap snugly onto the prong.
Pros: This product is great to extend your pants' life by replacing a button. With jeans, in particular, it is difficult to get a replacement button. Instead of throwing out your jeans, use a Perfect Fit button to save your pants from the trash. In addition to using it as a replacement, you can also use it to extend or reduce your waistband. To give yourself an extra inch, place it to the left of your existing button. To take your pants in a notch, place it to the right. Pregnant women or yo-yo dieters will find this product useful to them in extending the use of their clothing.
It is small enough to not take up a lot of room in your desk drawer or purse, in case of a pants emergency. Moreover, the choice of colors means that it should blend in with most fabrics so as not to be conspicuous.
Cons: Unlike a traditional button, the Perfect Fit Button does not sit flush with your skin. Therefore, you may end up with a mark on your belly from the back cover. If your pants are tight while using the product, the back may uncomfortably dig into your stomach. In addition, I do not recommend that you wash the your pants with the Perfect Fit Button intact because the washing and drying process can damage both the front with scratches and the backing by making it no longer lock tightly once closed.
It can be trying to get the back off if enough pressure is not applied to get release, so this product may not be well-suited for elderly users.
Cost: The Perfect Fit Button retails for approximately $10 at retailers such as Bed Bath and Beyond, CVS, Amazon.com. The package contains eight Perfect Fit Buttons, with the following distribution: two black, two tan, two brown and two jeans replacement buttons.
Best deals on Perfect Fit Button: To save the most money on Perfect Fit Button, buy it at Bed Bath and Beyond using a coupon. Savvy CVS shoppers can also snag the product at a discount there by using their Extra Care Bucks to offset the cost.
Bottom line: At $10, each button costs just over $1. The cost of a new pair of jeans to replace a lost button is far more, making the Perfect Fit Button a cost-effective solution to lost buttons and tight or loose fitting pants or skirts. It will work well for hand-me-downs that are just a little too big to fit a child.

So it's worth buying. Good to know, it looked pretty cool on the commercials
Very nice job with this.
This sounds great!
I really like the suggestion of keeping it handy in case you lose a button. They should put that in the ad.
