Fertility problems such as unexplainable infertility, as well as age related infertility and other nutritionally related infertility problems can be greatly improved with a raw food diet. In the following paragraphs I'll outline some of the ways a raw foods diet can gently and effectively nurture and coax the fertility of both males and females alike, as it works it's magic within the design our bodies were created for, making way for a healthy pregnancy to occur.
The Enzyme Factor
The enzyme value within raw foods is undeniable. Enzymes are catalysts, substances that make things happen. They have the ability to keep the natural processes within our bodies running smoothly. If the processes within our systems is compromised, our fertility will only follow.
The standard American diet consists of such a large portion of cooked foods that our nutrient uptake from that food is marginal at best. Contrary to that, raw food retains all of it's enzymatic value and as a result has better capability to get quality nutrition where it needs to go.
If you are couple experiencing the unfortunate circumstances of multiple miscarriages, without much. of an explanation of why from the medical community, consider either poor quality eggs or sperm as a key contributor at play in that situation. At first glance nutrition may not seem related, but if you follow the normal processes our body takes of getting nutrients out to the reproductive system, you will soon see the value that raw foods can have in improving this situation. Raw foods, rich in enzymatic action, will quickly get nutrition where it needs to go, namely the reproductive system. It will nourish the endocrine system, the system that handles a finely tuned orchestra of hormones, as well as the ovaries and testes where good nutrition is paramount in creating good eggs and sperm that go on to make healthy pregnancies.
Better Absorption of Vitamins and Minerals
Hands down, raw food has the most absorbable form of nutrients you'll find on the planet. I remember directing people to raw food during my days as a health food store owner and if that was something they didn't feel was realistic for them I usually directed them to specific supplements that were food derived for the best absorption possible.
My own personal experience with raw food and my fertility has been nothing but great as well. Upon turning 40, I found myself experiencing multiple miscarriage. By the time it was all said and done I had miscarried 5 babies consecutively. Raw food helped to turn that around and I went on to have 2 more healthy babies so far. A big reason for that is the quality of vitamin and mineral content within the raw food. It's so much more bioavailable. It's something our bodies are familiar with and as a result of that we get so many more benefits from it with regard to nutrient absoprtion.
I still enjoy reproductive benefits from this lifestyle. My premenopause is very minimized, I have an occasional hot flash, no annoying vaginal dryness, in fact, during my fertile times, I have plenty of cervical mucous to let me know that I'm fertile. I still have regular monthly cycles, accompanied with regular ovulations, even at 47, so I can attest to the fertility extension that you can gain from this diet.
My own experience with a raw diet and fertility has been such a positive one, I try to tell as many women about it as I can that are still trying to conceive, even at more mature ages. This is something that needs to be given some time to see significant benefits from, unlike taking a pharmaceutical drug to induce ovulation and those types of things, but in the end the time and effort put forth to live this lifestyle will be so worth it. Especially if you find yourself successfully pregnant and expecting a new member of the family!!
Eat well, live well, enjoy!
