Can You Really Make Money from Home Using Your Computer?

We see the ads on television, on the internet, in magazines and newspapers. Millionaires are being created on the internet. Network marketing, once considered a dirty word, is growing as the internet becomes more accessible to the masses and as people are discovering that the ""system"" they bought into (go to school, get good grades, get a good job and be financially secure) is no longer delivering. It is debatable if that ""system"" ever delivered. A little research into the distribution of wealth clearly demonstrates that few, if any, people get truly wealthy by going into even a good paying career and working hard. The wealthy people of the world attained their wealth through business, not employment.

Bob Proctor states in his Science of Getting Rich Home Seminar program that 90% of the world's wealth is owned by 5% of the population. Sobering statistics indeed! So what does it mean? Quite simply, the ""system"" we've been taught to follow doesn't work. Too many people are reaching the age of retirement only to discover that they are unprepared. Many seniors continue to work not because they want to, but because they have to. Starting a home business and generating an income on the internet is a feasible solution.

The internet has come of age. New technologies have been developed that allow the average person to build and grow a successful internet marketing business. People are leaving their jobs and turning to this technology in record numbers. Many of those people will spend thousands of dollars trying to learn the ins and outs of marketing on the internet, and of earning a living in their home business. Many will fall prey to the unscrupulous "scammer" whose only desire is to take their money, and in the process, steal their dreams. Some of those people will not allow their dream to be stolen and will continue to work toward success - and those will find success, but for every one that does make it in internet marketing, there are hundreds, perhaps even hundreds of thousands, who don't. Most successful marketers went to the "school of hard knocks" and spent alot of money before they "cracked" the so-called code, and made it. It doesn't have to be that way. Anyone with a strong desire and commitment to learning the craft can be successful.

Some tips:

Information should always be free. Do not pay for it. If you are investigating a program or opportunity and are asked to pay to receive an information package, my advice is don't do it. Sometimes it may seem feasible, for example if you are requesting information through the mail. Then there are costs incurred. But most information can be provided at no cost over the internet. Do not spend any money until you have been provided all the information.

Be committed. If you are not 100% commited to building your home business, don't even start. If you are looking for an ""easy button"", spend your money on lottery tickets. Building a home business will require your dedication, your commitment and your action. If you are not 100% committed, you WILL fail - it is that simple.

Do your "due diligence". ASK QUESTIONS.It does matter who your sponsor is. Investigate the company, but also investigate your prospective sponsor. I do not suggest that you should or will be dependent upon your sponsor, however, when you are going through your learning curve, you need support. That support should come from an entire team, not just your sponsor. Do not be concerned if your sponsor is brand new him or herself if there is a strong team in place. ""Teamwork makes the dream work"" - never forget that.

Don't fall for the hype or listen to the myths, and yes, Duplication is a Myth. Understand that even if your sponsor is telling you that you need to "duplicate" their system, if you are going to be successful you have to ignore such talk. Internet marketing is a craft - and you must learn the craft. If you are in love with a company that preaches and teaches network marketing myths - learn the craft first, then join the company and build YOUR business.

Training should be free. Supplemental training is fine, but basic training and support should be free.

You do not have to start out with the Super Duper Business Builder Pack, and if your sponsor says you do, go back to doing your due diligence. Investigate the company yourself. Know and understand the compensation plan. If you have the financial resources to invest in the business builder pack, and if there is truly an advantage to doing so, that is fine - but it should be optional.

Do NOT expect anyone else to make you successful. Sure, you want to have the support of a solid team behind you, but that does not take place of you doing your own work. This is YOUR business. Treat it as such. Never ever quit. Many people give up and quit just before they were about to make it. Do NOT ever give up.

Get into a Successful Mindset. This is the most important tip of all. Failure in home business is largely due to not having the right mindset. Building a home business is really about building relationships. If you are not already, you need to become someone that others want to do business with. People do business with people they know, like and trust. You need to have confidence in yourself, belief that you are successful, and the ability to develop leadership skills. With the right mindset, success is an absolute certainty.

Budget your start up costs for about $500. Chances are that is a high estimate, but it is better to be prepared than surprised. You can get started often for about $200.

A home business in internet marketing is one of the most satisfying and fun ways to get rich. Having said that, it is not a cake walk. It is real work, but when you love what you do, and when you are doing it with a clear purpose, it becomes effortless.
