Why would people come to Canada on a vacation? Stop at any of the airports that have international flights and ask the hundreds of thousands of people who come here each and every month why they chose Canada as their travel destination. You will hear things like the friendly people, the mix of culture and arts, the food, the prices, the mountains, rivers and lakes. But most of all, people come to Canada because it is more or less one of the safest places in the world to visit. You will not be set in the middle of a civil war in Canada, nor be the target of radical Islamists. The roads are safe to travel on, and you can stop and sight see anywhere you heart desires without having to go through road blocks and show your papers to greedy and corrupt officials.
When travelling to Canada, the outdoors is usually what draws the crowds. There is really no better vista than the British Columbia Rocky Mountains for a fall photography session, camping alongside pristine lakes chock full of trout, and enjoying the sports that are so popular here. Mountain biking, skiing, zip-lining, bungee jumping, swimming in clean, clear Pacific ocean waters or just sight seeing can all be done in one day, if you have the energy to do so.
From Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador, you can go whale watching in most seasons, have an eye-dropping cheap and plentiful seafood dinner, go deep sea fishing in the hunt for the elusive blue-fin tuna, mackerel or the worm-infested cod fish (yes, each and every cod fish has worms when they are caught, the worms are dug out before the "meat" is sold). Hikers are overjoyed with Cape Breton and it's inland lakes, the sea vistas and the rolling, dangerous highways that hug the Atlantic ocean ever so closely.
Canada as a travel destination has been one of the most sought-after places in the world for over a hundred years. Not bad for a country that is only about 143 years old, depending upon how you decide what makes for the originating time of the country. Almost all of the peoples in Canada are either immigrants, or bred from immigrant stock, and that makes for a friendly working relationship between peoples of all races. And, this carries over into the tourism trade, as most of the tourism-related business owners are fourth and fifth generation Canadians.
So come and see Canada, you will not be overcharged, and you will find that the people are friendly, the businesses and restaurants first rate, and the amount of things to do are nearly endless. And, the beer's pretty good too, eh!
