Canadian Mailman Under Attack! Not by Dog, but by Cat

I found this to be quite amusing, and weird really, and thought I would share it will you of course. It seems a mail carrier in Canada won't deliver to this address any longer because of a cat leaping at him and hissing. it appears this eight year old, black cat stays under his owner;s porch and protects the property. One person said , cats could be very territorial, while another person spoke of the cat being the devil in disguise.

It is a cat for crying out loud. The owners went on to say a bomb could go off and the cat would just lay there , so of course they disagree with this mail carrier refusing to bring the mail to their home. until something is done with this cat.

Now the couple in Winnipeg have to walk four kilometers to retrieve their mail in the city.. So why not just leave the cat in the house?or take some other action? like treat it like a dog and tie it up. because it is a cat. What will be next? the postmaster's comment was we're not putting our carriers at risk. But to me , there has to be something more going on here. A cat can be dangerous I admit, but it implies that a cat can be just as ferocious as a dog! Come on are they serious?

Maybe the carrier is superstitious of black cats and won't own up to it. so he has come up with this story so he doesn't have to confront the black cat. It really didn't say a lot about the carrier maybe the cat doesn't like people with uniforms. You know I feel for this couple really. Its not like they have a Doberman or Rottweiller running around waiting for the postal carrier. An eight year old black cat? That just lets you know how determined the postal carriers are to get mail to people. this so feared black cat's name is Shadow. he has his own little bungalow and everything. he likes to sleep and cuddle. but he attacks the mail carrier? By growling and leaping? I'm totally at a loss on this one. I could believe it if it were a dog, however, I'm not to keen on an eight year old cat being so ferocious that the mail can't get through. It sounds a bit far fetched and I think theres more about it were not being told.!
