Canaries Look to Blunt Blades

James Kent
Norwich City faces a tough test against play-off chasing Sheffield United this weekend. Earlier on in the season Norwich recorded a home win against the blades and will now look to repeat that feat, but this time on the road. Glenn Roeder will have plenty of options to choose from after several players declared themselves fit to play. The only slight problem is the suspension of Darel Russell.

Carl Cort is still building up his match fitness, but should make the bench. Therefore, Antoine Sibierski is likely to continue up front. It is likely Glenn Roeder will go with the 4-4-2 formation which should provide Lupoli with a rare start. Ryan Bertrand and David Bell may get rested for this weekend's game since both players have looked jaded.

Glenn Roeder has managed to secure the services of Jonathan Grounds on a two-month loan deal. Grounds is likely to go straight into the team to partner Gary Doherty in central defence. Elliott Omozusi is likely to shift across to play at right back. Finally, I would like to see Wes Hoolahan start on the left side of midfield.

Match Prediction

There is no doubt this is going be a very tough game for Norwich. However, Norwich generally does best against the better sides in this division. Therefore I fully expect a strong performance by Norwich, which will result in a 1-1 draw.
