Cancer: The 6-Letter Word No One Wants to Hear!
Why must you plague me so,
I'm begging and pleading for you to just go.
Entering my mind every so often,
Always ending up with a loved one in a coffin.
So familiar to me it is a shame,
You are around so much you have your own fame.
It's an unfortunate situation that I'm actually okay with hearing that 6 letter word,
The word that has forever plagued me, being so often heard.
I'm beginning to understand you all to well,
Why can't you disappear from my life, leave even for a short spell.
You've taken such good from my love and heart,
All I want for us is to eternally be apart.
6 letter word will you please go away,
I want my yellows and blues not shades of gray.
You will not beat me, I will forever stay strong,
For I've known you forever, forever to long.
