Cancer Cure & Power for the World?

Man & Machine Vs. Cancer & More

An amazing new technological cancer fighting system, invented by John Kanzius, is poised to take the battle against cancer to a whole new level. Dr. Steven Curley of MD Anderson is currently testing this new machine and is hopeful that this system will be able to fight cancer throughout the entire body and without any side effects. The CBS show, 60 Minutes, recently ran a story on the inventor, the doctor, the machine, and how it all came to be.

Here is a quick rundown. John Kanzius, in retirement, and a cancer patient and former radio & TV executive, emotionally impacted by children he encountered while undergoing chemotherapy to treat his own illness, got up one night and began to work on a new way to kill cancer without side effects. In short order, he had developed a machine that he was hopeful would do the job. After a bit of promising testing, he spent about $200,000 of his own money to produce an improved machine. Kanzius' experience with radios stretched all the way back to his childhood so he was well aware that metal can be heated by exposure to high energy radio waves. He was also well aware of the safety of radio waves interacting with people. His idea and hope was that cancer cells could be specifically targeted and destroyed by injecting a metallic solution directly into a cancer. Next, exposure to harmless radio waves would heat up the metal and kill the cancer. Tested on a hotdog for the ability to heat, it did the trick. Only the intended focused area was heated as the rest of the hotdog was left unchanged.

Today the University of Pittsburg & MD Anderson are testing Kanzius' invention. "This technology may allow us to treat just about any kind of cancer you can imagine.", Dr. Steven Curley told CBS's 60 Minutes. The, "This technology", that the Dr. was referring to also included another great idea of Kanzius'... nano particles made of metal or carbon. Though Kanzius had experimented with copper sulfate as the inject able metal solution, he believed that a nanosolution would be better.

As it would happen, Dr. Steven Curley was called in one day to examine Rick Smalley, the Nobel Prize Winner for discovering nanoparticles made from carbon and, along with John Kanzius, a cancer patient at MD Anderson. The Dr. made certain to ask Smalley for some of his nano particles. Yet unbelieving and brought to laughter, Smalley agreed to provide a sample. Once exposed to the high energy radio waves, the sample took only around 15 seconds to come to a boil. Smalley became one of Kanzius' biggest supporters. Unfortunately, he succumb to his cancer not long after that test. Now, the pressure is on to see if John Kanzius, the inventor of this new medical marvel and a man with no medical background and not even a college degree, can be saved by using this new system. Human trials have not yet begun and there is plenty of testing left to do.

Dr. Steven Curley has had success destroying cancer while testing with rabbits. Concomitantly, Dr. David Geller, in Pittsburg, has had success experimenting with mice and using gold nanoparticles. Just as with the hotdog test, the heat has been specific and the damage has been localized to the intended areas. The ultimate goal of this study is to be able to cure all cancer cells throughout the body with absolutely no side effects. Dr. Curley is also working on target specific delivery systems designed to, with nanoparticles, track down and tag cancer cells that are metastasizing throughout the body. Being able to target, tag, and destroy any specific type of cancer cell would mean having an effective cure for all cancer.

Eventually, someone asked John Kanzius, if his machine could be used to desalinate salt water. So, he took a salt water sample and placed it in the machine. Only intending to heat the water, he got fire. Kanzius' machine managed to burn water. It does the same with normal salt water or even tap water with table salt added. A chemist, one of a handful of scientists shown the process, has explained that the heat is releasing hydrogen from the water. Though, with help, and as Kanzius is working night and day to improve efficiency, he remains undeterred from his original goal and is more than happy to sell the power rights in order to fund his cancer treatment dreams.
