Candidates for Chicago Aldermen Will Meet in Wicker Park

On Wednesday, January 5, 2011, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., candidates for alderman will answer questions and talk about their running platforms at the Wicker Park Lutheran Church, located at 1502 North Hoyne, in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. Appearing will be David Pavlik, Scott Waguespack, Bryan Lynch and Brian Gorman, all representing the 32nd Ward. Representing the 1st Ward, will be Joe Moreno, Deborah Lopez, and tentatively, Ronald Baltierra. There will be a forum moderator, and audience members will be allowed to ask questions, following the presentation of the prepared questions.

Each candidate will be allowed to introduce him or herself, and will be given the opportunity to offer a political statement, according to Wicker Park Committee president, Ed Tamminga. Those attended the forum can expect the candidates to discuss the Grant Park Children's Museum, Chicago finances, the Chicago Public School System, TIFF funds and privatization of City of Chicago services.
