Make a quick and easy white candle centerpiece for each reception table.

MATERIALS

8" round, wicker basket, 2 -3 inches tall
Silk flowers of your choosing, 6 - 8 stems
Silk Ivy leaves, 3 -5 stems
White pearl berries, 9 stems, 15mm berries
White 6' pillar candle
Plastic pointed-tip candle holder, 3' diameter
Ribbon, 1 /12 yards White 1 1/2 inch wide......White satin Picot, 1/2" wide - 2 yards
Floral foam
Floral tape
Thin craft wire
Wooden skewers (tooth picks work great)
Wooden heart pieces
Glue gun with glue sticks

INSTRUCTIONS

Paint inside, outside and bottom of basket white and let dry; apply second coat if needed. Paint each heart piece white on each side, letting one side dry before turning over to paint other side.
Glue floral foam in center of basket; glue candle holder on top of floral foam.
Cut ivy stems into 4" to 9" lengths and attach each stem to wooden skewers with floral tape.
Insert each pick into foam as desired.
Cut flowers apart leaving 2-inches of stem and tape to wooden skewers. Insert as desired into foam.
Cut White satin Picot into 1 yard lengths. Form into two-loop bow, cut 11' tails, cut ends at an angle. Attache to craft wire cut into three inch pieces. Insert at each side of arrangement.
Glue one heart to each end of Picot ribbon.
Using 2' hearts glue wooden skewers on back; glue second heart on opposite side and insert into randomly throughout arrangement.
Insert candle in candle holder.

VARIATION

Instead of using wicker baskets; paint 5" clay pots white or gold. Use various silk flowers, vines and grapes for centerpiece. Using 2" clay pots, painted to match larger pot, insert foam in pot and glue in place. Arrange with sprigs of leaves and grapes on skewers. Place 6" tapered candles in center.

***TIP***
Use craft glue on end of skewers prior to placing them in foam to have better hold.
Use craft sponge to paint pots to give a dramatic look, using two or three colors. May need up to six coats of paint for effect.
To create that special keepsake; use lace, buttons or appliques from a vintage wedding dress to embellish to side of baskets or pots, or even include some heritage doilies under each arrangement.
