1 c butter, softenend
1 c sugar
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 c crushed candy canes
3/4 to 1 c powdered sugar
Directions for Candy Cane Snowball Cookies

Blend together butter and sugar. Add egg, salt and vanilla; beat well. Stir in flour. Chill dough for at least 1 hour. Mix together powdered sugar and crushed candy canes and set aside. Form dough into 1 inch balls and place on lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 7-10 minutes. Immediately roll warm cookies in powdered sugar mixture. Makes 3-4 dozen.Tip
Crush candy canes by placing in a blender or food processor or by placing in a plastic bag and pounding with a rubber mallet.
