My husband knows I love caramel apples so on a recent trip to Somerset Mall he stopped at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory to purchase a gift for me. This gift was an English toffee covered caramel apple.
The caramel apples contain a granny smith apple and covered in a variety of toppings. The additional toppings complement the caramel coating.
The apple varieties include the most popular Apple Pie™ Apple, M&M® Apple and Pecan Caramel Apple. The other varieties are Caramel Apple, Caramel Apple with Snickers®, Cheesecake Apple, English Toffee Apple, Peanut Caramel Apple, Pecan Bear® Caramel Apple and Rocky Road Caramel Apple.
The caramel apple is large enough to share with one or two people. Grab a knife and slice off a couple apple pieces for a friend or family member if you dare share with someone else. You may be tempted to eat the apple all by yourself though. They're just that good. Be warned that the apples are big so you'll want to save some room if you plan to eat it by yourself.
The English toffee coating on the caramel apple provides a nice complement to the crisp sweetness of the Granny Smith apple.
The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory caramel apples prices range from $4.95 to $8.95. You may not want to spend that much money purchase a caramel apple often, but it's priced fair enough for an occasional treat. It's also a great idea for a gift because some people may not spend that money on themselves.
The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory has numerous locations across the United States. The caramel apples are not only available in the store, but for order online with the rest of the store's treats.
There isn't any nutrition information available for the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory caramel apples. Apples are typically low in calories so if you can spare a few calories for the candy coating, you'll be well within your rights to feel guilt-free about eating this snack.
Overall I highly recommend the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory caramel apples. The apples are pricey, but they are great for an occasional treat or gift.
