The study was performed on test dogs and concludes that moderate levels of protein does not have a negative effect on dogs with canine renal/kidney disease, but actually helpful to help them increases energy levels and maintain muscle mass, helping the dog to maintain his health. To prepare home the home cooked diet for your canine,, make a dish of white rice, cooked ground beef, one boiled egg, white bread, vegetable oil and calcium carbonate. You should combine approximate 8.5 ounces of the rice, one egg, 2.75 of the ground beef, 1.5 ounce of the bread, one teaspoon of the vegetable oil and two teaspoons of the calcium carbonate. For a variety you could use parsley, ground chicken, potatoes, chicken fat, parsnips, cooked kidney beans, and cottage cheese. Never use organ meats or liver. Be sure to feed you dog regularly. Also, with kidney problems, a dog should always have an adequate water supply.
