I received my Canker melts Time Released Medicated Discs. They come in a box with 36 discs. Well I had no idea what to do with them as I had no canker sore nor did my husband. So I put them in the medicine cabinet. Two weeks later while talking with my husband I bit my tongue. You know when your tongue doesn't go where it is suppose to do, and your are all of a sudden holding your hand over your mouth and your husband is looking at you like now what. All I did was take the disc out of its sealed wrappings and put it on the tip of my finger and placed it in mouth on the inside of my cheek a little further back from the cut. I held it in place for almost 3 minutes until it stuck. With in a couple of minutes the pain was lessening. What a relief. Within 15 to 20 minutes I had no pain. I was able to move my tongue back and rub up against the disc, so the medication would get right into the cut. It says 2 to 6 hours of time release pain relief and I totally agree. Within 3 days I no longer needed to use the discs. There is an anti-inflammatory pain reliever, it has a mild taste with 30 mg Glycyrrhiza extract (licorice root) with 1.4 mg Glycyrrthizin per disc and 40% collagen (active ingredients).
