Canon PowerShot 7.1-MegaPixel Digital ELPH Camera Review
I Review This Really Great Digital Camera by Canon
Well, the first thing that I like to point out about this particular camera, is the MegaPixels. Usually, a camera of this price range will have about 4 to 6 MegaPixels, maybe. However, this Canon PowerShot has a total of 7.1-MP that is captured with a high-resolution CCD, that comes with 3072 x 2304 pixel capabilities. This camera was made to create breathtaking photographs, and that is exactly what it is going to do. There is a total of 3x optical zoom, 4x digital zoom and a total zoom of 12x's, all of which is sifted through a UA lens. You will be able to see your pictures immediately with the 2.5" PureColor TFT-LCD monitor, that comes fully equipped with an antireflective, scratch-resistant coating.
But how do the picture end up so brilliant? This is wholly do to the fact that this digital camera uses Canon's DIGIC III image processor, which gives you greatly improved image quality, as well as auto exposure, brilliantly clear auto focus, lightening fast processing speeds and automatic white balancing. This littler image engine can pump out some of the best pictures you have ever seen, and the coolest thing is, it's done all automatically, all you have to do is point and shoot.
If you are wanting to add some spice to your photos, you can choose between several different shooting modes, which will give your pictures a clarity and a vibrancy that has otherwise been unheard of. Some of these shooting modes include color accent, portrait, digital macro, auto, manual and night snapshot. There are also several 'special scene modes,' which include fireworks, aquarium, underwater, indoor, foliage, beach, kids, snow and pets. Taking some of these pictures may be hard if they are moving fast. This is why Canon has a great continuous shooting mode, which can capture up to 1.7 fps (frames per second). And with the built-in flash with red eye reduction, you will never have to worry about your friends eyes turning different colors.
As you can see, this camera is definitely one of the greatest super entry-level digital cameras out on the market. There are so many features, many of which weren't even mentioned here, so to find out the beauty of this camera in its entirety, go to your local camera shop and ask to see this model. You will be completely blown away once you see this camera in person, and read its price tag. Now you can have a beautiful camera in your pocket at all times, and you didn't have to mortgage out your home, sell your car and put your kids through the Kathy Lee Gifford School of Training...aka sweat shop.
