I mean, the Belgian block streets of Vinegar Hill were laid starting from the middle 1800s to the late 1800s. At this point it's quite evident the stone God created lasts much, much longer than the ugly asphalt man keeps replacing or smearing over the top of the beautiful Belgian block. Whether or not the area gentrifies, Belgian block should pave the way through historic Vinegar Hill. What Vinegar Hill streets undergo now is nothing less than blight perpetrated by the city itself.
