Can't Miss Movies of 2010

Jake James
So I know it's a little premature to start talking about movies hitting theaters in 2010, but there's no harm in getting at least a little excited for a big time movie. 2010 will be full of great new movies as well as a full lineup of some of our old favorites.

Please note that most of these movies are currently in production so some of the information listed below is subject to change. With that said, let's get hyped!

The Smurfs (Dec. 17, 2010) - The classic cartoon from the early 1980's hits the big screen in 2010. It's rumored that John Lithgow will take part in the movie. Whether it's through voice or acting is unknown.

X-Men Origins: Magneto (2010 or 2011) - With X-Men Origins: Wolverine hitting theaters this summer, 20th Century Fox looks to hit gold with another movie focusing on the early years of Magneto.

The Book of Eli (January 2010) - Starring Denzel Washington and Mila Kunis a man fights his way to save mankind in post-apocalyptic times.

Iron Man 2 (2010) - Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow return to give us another actions-packed adventure. Samuel L. Jackson is rumored to join the cast, but with his appearance after the credits in the original Iron Man, one can almost guarantee he'll appear.

Shrek Goes Forth (May 21, 2010) - All of the original cast return for the fourth installment of this animated adventure about an ogre and his princess bride. Hopefully Mike Myers can bring back the comic genius that faltered in the previous Shrek movie.

Toy Story 3 (June 2010) - Finally, Pixar brings back another adventure of Woody, Buzz, and the rest of our favorite toy characters. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen are expected to give the voices of Buzz and Woody with Joan Cusack and Michael Keaton also expected to join the cast.

The Green Hornet (June 2010) - An expected slimmed down Seth Rogan stars in this crime fighting superhero movie. Will it be comedy or action? We'll have to wait and see, but we can all hope and expect both.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I (November 2010) - Yes, this movie will be released in two parts with the latter part expected to come in late 2011. All Harry Potter fans should be excited for this release as the entire cast returns.

Let me know what 2010 movie releases your most excited for or if you have any insights into any other can't miss movies of 2010.
