It's hot and you need a quick refreshing drink. Maybe you're on a diet so the soda is out. Want a healthy drink to quench that thirst? Try these slushes made of cantaloupe (others call it muskmelon) or watermelon. These slushes are easy to make!

How To Make Cantaloupe or Watermelon slushes.

This is going to be too easy for you! Seed and chunk the meat of a cantaloupe, muskmelon or watermelon and simply throw it into a blender. Add ice cubes and turn that blender on. Pour into a glass and you have one healthy and cool drink! Example: I used ½ of a small cantaloupe and 3 cups of ice. I like my slush frozen enough to use a spoon on.

Possible Cantaloupe Slush Variations

To turn this slush into a smoothie try adding some yogurt or ice cream.

Add a banana or other fruit to the cantaloupe slush.

Try serving with a sprig or two of mint.

Try adding vanilla or honey!

Try adding a bit of vodka and make your slush zing!

This is a good idea... and my 7 year old would love it. Thanks

Sounds wonderful. But I would probably eat all the watermelon before it ever made it into a slushee. It is especially good and juicy this year.
