It has been said that some things come in three's-well there you go. Spend more, save less, and tax more. I guess the saying is true to its meaning because Liberals seem to like that number 3, especially with this Cap and Trade bill.
The Cap and Trade legislation seeks to create carbon credits-the only credit you and I will get is a VISA debit check card-which places credits in the hands of the polluters and allows them to pollute to a certain limits, based on the limits they were given. But when those companies fall under their mandated pollution limits, they can sell the remaining credits to other companies who haven't yet.
How sweet, huh? They get rewarded and what do we get in return?
So what is it with this reward system and this global warming theory that the liberals and environmentalists are running up and down mountains to prove at all cost? Or is it, our cost?
Who really is the enemy in all this so-called global warming panic attack? CO2 emissions are the enemy that's who. The evil demon that needs to be eradicated immediately or we will just vaporize. But wait, CO2--don't we need that?
Is it me or has the long chain of human life that acquired an immense amount of intelligence through evolution just came to an end?
CO2 is needed for life. Without it, we would all perish including plants. Have you figured out that when you breathe oxygen, you exhale CO2? I believe some in Washington don't inhale-Former President Bill Clinton can attest to that-ask him.
When a species breathes, it inhales oxygen and releases carbon dioxide. When a person hyperventilates when they have an anxiety attack or something similar, levels of carbon dioxide (CO2) in your blood will decrease rapidly and you will experience some not-so-kind symptoms-trust me, I have experienced it.
Why not just eliminate all CO2 and just pump in some pure oxygen? Sorry, if you smoke cigarettes and want to clean the planet of all traces of carbon dioxide, you will experience a nasty event for you when you light up-oh wait, the holiday barbeque is off-limits too.
So we are back to the evil carbon dioxide. Is that the cause for global warming? Better yet, did we do this all by ourselves in just a short 50-60 year-span compared to the millions of years that this planet has existed? I think not.
Carleton University Science Professor, Tim Patterson, stated, "I think the proof is in the pudding, based on what (media and governments) are saying is we're about three quarters of the way (to disaster) with the doubling of CO2 in the atmosphere. The world should be heating up like crazy by now and it's not. The temperatures match very closely with the solar cycles Two More Scientists Say Manmade Global Warming is Hogwash
Say what-the sun? Okay, it has to be eliminated immediately. I would love to see how the liberals will conquer that problem.
The need for the Cap and Tax (AKA: Cap and Trade) bill is liberal pipe-dream and did I mention, absurd?
Sure, we all want clean streams; less smoke beltching from factories, clean water, and clean roadsides, however, we should not be forced to be taxed to death to obtain it.
If this piece of legislation is passed-the joke is on us. We will pay the cost, not the companies. Why? Because they will pass that cost, the cost of the credits, down to you, entangled in the cost of the products you purchase and what you use such as utilities. We will pay, not in change but actual paper as in dollar bills and lots of it.
The liberals act like this is good thing to be taxed as if anyone can afford to be taxed more in the middle of a severe recession.
Hello Democrats, ever hear of tax incentives for companies to find ways to cut down on pollution and invent new energy-efficient technologies? The market can do that you know-you the government cannot.
I remember back when one of former President Bill Clinton's campaign's slogans was, "It's the economy stupid."
I think it is time to bring it back but said a little different, "It's the taxes stupid."
Next up, how to plug up a cow to eliminate methane gas that is the other environmental enemy of our existence and here I thought terrorists was a threat to our civilization-stupid me.
