Capcom Video Game Character Mega Man Goes Gangsta?

Storm Jackson
Many video game fans know who Mega Man is. The "Mega Man" franchise has churned out dozens of games over various consoles throughout the past two decades. Now, a hip hop producer from Phoenix, Arizona wants to take Mega Man "to the next level" so to speak. The hip hop producer Random is taking all of his hip hop knowledge and putting it into a new CD featuring the hottest new hip hop artist - Mega Man.

Producing this CD will be Random's way of celebrating the 20th anniversary of the video game star's journey that started in 1987. The CD album will contain music and samples that have been in the Mega Man games. Random states "It's gonna be a wild ride...The music on it is really diverse. Fans of every musical genre will be able to vibe with it. Hip Hop, Rock, Reggae, you name it".

Mega Man started in Japan as Mega Man on the Japanese Famicom system. The Famicom was the Japanese version of the United States released Nintendo Entertainment System. The very first Mega Man that was released wasn't a huge success. It was more of a "sleeper hit" in it's day.

Mega Man nearly had almost the same story and concept as each of it's sequels. Mega Man is created by the scientist Dr. Light to destroy evil robots being built by Dr. Light's nemesis Dr. Wily. The idea the first Mega Man game used "stealing weapons" from each of the levels boss, was used throughout the series.

The very first Mega Man featured the memorable boss characters of "Bomb Man", "Fire Man", "Ice Man" and others. The game really started to gain success with the release of it's sequel Mega Man 2, also released on the Nintendo Entertainment System. The NES would see six full Mega Man games during it's lifetime.

Mega Man expanded after the NES began to lose popularity and when the Super Nintendo Entertainment System was introduced. On the Super NES, Mega Man would rise again under a brand new series titled "Mega Man X". There was also another sequel to the NES series released on the Super Nintendo titled "Mega Man 7". Mega Man games jumped Nintendo systems and new games began to appear on the Sony PlayStation systems in the mid to late 1990's.

The Mega Man Hip Hop produced CD will be titled "Mega Ran". You won't be able to find it at your local Walmart or Kmart. It will be released on June 19th, 2007 via the following websites: www.randomsblogs.blogspot.com, www.myspace.com/bigran215, and www.rahmnation.org. Fans can also purchase a limited edition of the "Mega Ran" CD with bonus tracks and other extras at the RAHM Nation's website address.

FYI FOR EVERYBODY: For those who think this is just a gimmick some rapper is doing, check yourself and look up Nerdcore Hip-Hop. Much love to Random for reppin' what Nerdcore in essence is about. giz, I feel you on the poor wording of 'gangsta' but everybody has been brainwashed to believe that's what rap and the hip-hop culture is all about.

although from what i hear, random is far from 'gangsta'...bad choice of words there.
