Normally, these types of games are listed at a budgeted price point of $29.99. However, Capcom, who is the publisher and developer of the aforementioned three titles, decided to put them in a bundle instead for $39.99.
Dead Rising is the first title of the Platinum Hits Triple Pack according to chronological order. It was released in August 8, 2006. Many saw the open-world zombie apocalypse game as the title that kick-started the avalanche of great games heading to the Xbox 360. Dead Rising quickly became a fan favorite on the system and was one of the first Platinum Hits games on the system. A sequel to Dead Rising is coming to the Xbox 360 (and other platforms) in 2010.
In addition to Dead Rising, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition was the other early high-profile game from Capcom on the Xbox 360. When it was released on January 12, 2007, the game sports incredible visuals in addition to the unique third-person shooting gameplay. Thanks to the pre-release hype, it ended up selling well enough to become a Platinum Hits title. The Colonies Edition expansion adds new single-player modes as well as multiplayer content. Like Dead Rising, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition is getting a sequel in 2010 on the Xbox 360 and other platforms.
Devil May Cry 4 is the newest and probably the most high-profile game in the Platinum Hits Triple Pack. It marked the first time the 3D action series has appeared on the Xbox 360. Devil May Cry 4 is a mix of old and new. The classic stylish action gameplay returns with brand new tweaks and elements. Furthermore, the graphics are some of the best at its time on the Xbox 360. So it wasn't surprising that Devil May Cry 4 quickly became a Platinum Hits game.
Dead Rising, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition - Colonies Edition and Devil May Cry 4 are all great games for the Xbox 360. On September 9, you can purchase these titles in the Platinum Hits Triple Pack on the Xbox 360 for just $39.99.
