They are open seven days a week for dining in, taking out and also for delivery service. Menu items range from simply fabulous pizzas to extravagant dinner options.
Appetizers include Portobello Mushrooms stuffed with jumbo crabmeat, spinach and provolone cheese, and Garlic Bread stuffed with the same delicious crab met and topped with mozzarella cheese. They also feature Buffalo wings tossed in a special house wing sauce, fried zucchini and calamari, and traditional Clams Casino.
The salads are my favorite. The Caesar Salad with blackened salmon is as tasty as the simple tossed salad served with grilled chicken breast. My personal pick is the Tomato Salad with its mix of ripe tomatoes and fresh garlic, tossed in a light vinaigrette dressing and topped with cheese. It's refreshing and simple, but ever so tasty!
Dinner fare ranges from traditional Chicken Parmesan or Marsala to my preferred dish of Chicken La Bella, which is a scrumptious blend of chicken breast and shrimp sautéed with white wine and served over a bed of fresh fettuccine. My husband always chooses their Veal Capellini Romano, a dish that's overflowing with fresh veal, shrimp, lobster and scallops, sautéed in olive oil, then tossed with white wine sauce before serving over pasta. All entrees come with coup or salad, a side of pasta or a vegetable, as well as bread and butter.
For take-out, we typically cannot resist a Capellini's House Pie, which is an extremely thin, crispy-crusted pizza in which they place the cheese and fresh sliced garlic on the dough before adding the sauce, then baking it to perfection. It is the BEST specialty pizza I've had since moving to this area. Other excellent taker-out or delivery options include one of their various sandwiches, hoagies or cheesesteaks. All dinner selections are also available for take-out and delivery, and are still accompanied by the soup or salad, pasta or vegetable as well as rolls and butter.
Reservations are recommended if you decide to dine-in. The restaurant is small and cozy, so seating can be quite limited. If your party has 6 or more people, 20% gratuity will be added to your bill for your convenience. If you live in the area, or are just passing through, I highly recommend visiting Capellini's Restaurant.
