Capilene 3 Zip-Neck T-Shirt Review

Yvonne Cote
I was looking for a casual camping wear, not the usual rugged ones, but something that is resilient enough for camping conditions and can be worn as an evening wear as well, and I came across this Capilene 3 Zip-neck T-shirt.

I own two of them now, one in grey and the other one in black -classic colors, but nevertheless elegant and suit my persona. When I wear them I find them just amazingly comfortable, probably because of the flatlock at the seams, so that the t-shirt rests perfectly on my body contours. The sleeves of the Capilene 3 Zip-neck T-shirt are quite comfortable too, especially at the elbow seam, an area where I have always faced a lot of problems, as none of the full sleeve sweatshirts offer me enough room to freely move or bend my hands without the fabric stretching constantly and hanging loosely after a few washes.

The most important thing is that these Capilene 3 Zip-neck T-shirts keep me warm and dry, ideal for the camping conditions, something you would most urgently seek when you are caught up in extremely cold and humid conditions. The fabric has an excellent feel about it and I find it quite lightweight for a camping wear, in fact I can stuff it in my knapsack, without worrying that it will take a lot of space. Moreover, the fabric is breathable, something I think inevitably happens to be the most critical criteria for these garments.

It is stylish, slim fit, yet comfortable beyond imagination. Believe me; you can not resist the temptation of looking at yourself in the mirror again and again.

As for the sizing, I think the sleeve length of the Capaline 3 zip-neck t-shirts is quite okay for my size, which is the size M. I find the shoulders droop slightly at the seams and similarly the chest circumference could have been reduced by almost quarter of an inch to give it a further slim fit. But, overall the sizing seems to work for me. It looks quite decent on my body.

Although the front Zip looks very trendy, what I would have ideally liked was a full length zipper closure. Also, the raglan sleeves can be done away with. A normal two-piece sleeve works quite well in these garments.

I would also like a few more colors to be added in the range, preferably earthy colors in the tones of grey and mélange. I believe they would look quite soothing and feisty for this style.
