Capitol Switchboard Working for Obama Health Care? Must Listen to Canned Health Care Propaganda Before Call Goes Through to Senator

I guess Obama wants this health care shoved through no matter what. Don't agree with the health care that Obama wants? Too bad. We're about to see legislation that the majority of people do not want, get rammed through like a bull in a china shop.

I understand that everyone has an opinion. I get that politics may make use of wheeling and dealing. I get that Obama and the democrats need health care in order for there to be what they perceive as a "victory" under Obama's accomplishments. But using the capitol switchboard to push Obama's health care agenda is going too far.

I tried to call Sen. Grassley's office this morning. I used the 800 number to the capitol. The phone was answered. Ah, but not with a live person. It was picked up and a canned voice started telling me to tell my congress person to vote for Obama's health care bill. What? I had to listen to it until it finished because my call would not go through until it was. I waited to see if the opposition, (you know, those pesky republicans, blue dog democrats and a sprinkling of others who do not want this albatross) would give us their idea of what should happen with the health care bill. No. It went straight from telling me to tell my congress person to vote for the health care bill to ringing my congressman.

Since when do presidents and their administrations carry out business this way? Is there nothing that these people will not mess with? Hey, how about putting our neighbors back to work before dumping a fricking costly health care bill on us?

I don't want the health care bill as it is. I have a right to have my opinions. I don't want to hear the Obama health care spiel when I am trying to call my congressman. Obama doesn't want to hear opposition from me. And using the capitol switchboard for this activity only proves what a desperate place they are coming from. Do they really think that making us listen to a canned plea will make us change our minds? Health care bill be damned, I have now reached the point of total disgust and anger with this whole thing. America has got to be the laughing stock of the world right now. Yeah, smooze doesn't necessarily make a great political character. It does however resemble a 3 year old throwing a hissy fit.
