Capri Anderson, Charlie Sheen, & the Complete Absence of Logic, Intelligence, and Maturity

Capri Anderson, the 22 year old porn star who is reported to have been hiding from Charlie Sheen in a hotel bathroom during one of his flipouts, has become quite famous over the ordeal. While the majority of media coverage surrounding this event appears to be focused on the fact that Charlie Sheen threw a tantrum in a hotel room, it seems to me that the more troubling elements of this situation are being almost entirely ignored. After all, who really cares that another alcoholic celebrity trashed a hotel room? The most disturbing aspects of this event would appear to be one, that Capri Anderson is 22 and a porn star. And two, that Charlie Sheen is hanging out in a hotel room with a 22 year old porn star.

Who exactly is Capri Anderson? That's kind of a difficult question to answer for somebody who doesn't watch pornography. Wikipedia lists her basically as a 22 year old porn store who was made famous after snorting cocaine with actor Charlie Sheen and getting stuck in a bathroom afterwards. Clearly, Capri Anderson is extremely young. Also evident, is the fact that she is involved in a self destructive lifestyle.

Upon first hearing this story, the first thing I did was to wonder where in hell this young girl's parents are? Clearly, they have failed her to such an astronomical degree that she has ended up in the porn industry. It's impossible not to wonder how many people in Capri Anderson's life have failed her in order for her to be in the position of being manipulated and preyed upon by the sick dogs who run the sex industry.

As a mom of an 18 year old daughter myself, I seriously want to vomit at the thought of Charlie Sheen chasing around a 22 year old child. Charlie Sheen is 45 years old. When my husband is 45, our daughter will be 22. Clearly, Capri Anderson is an extremely misguided girl. Just as clear, is that Charlie Sheen is one sick freak. Not necessarily the exception in our country, unfortunately. But still, pretty sick.

While the reality that there are 22 year old porn stars like Capri Anderson, and that 45 year old men like Charlie Sheen are screwed up enough in the head to do anything other than think of how sick and wrong it is for a girl her age to be caught up in the porn industry is horrible enough, it seems the most pitiful aspect of this story is that Capri Anderson herself probably has no idea how horrifically she has been taken advantage of.
