Captain Anderson's Dinner Yacht Cruises - Panama City Beach, Florida

The World's Most Beautiful Beaches

Vicki Messer
There is nothing quite like Panama City Beach in the summertime. There is almost always a soft breeze blowing across the Gulf of Mexico and washing those crystal clear emerald green waters up on the sugar-white sandy beaches. Sea gulls fly overhead as the waves break at your feet. You can see forever as you gaze out to where sky and water seem to meet.

After enjoying a sunny summer day on The World's Most Beautiful Beaches, it is always a real treat to climb aboard one of the Dining Yachts at Captain Anderson's Marina at Grand Lagoon just off Thomas Drive.

Since we lived in Panama City for nearly 16 years, we had the opportunity to celebrate more than one wedding anniversary onboard The Lady Anderson. This is an evening cruise with an all-you-can-eat buffet of seafood, beef and pasta dishes served up as you sail out into the peaceful waters of St. Andrews Bay. It is just about the most romantic way to celebrate wedding anniversaries that we have found.

The Lady Anderson offers three different cruises, all with air-conditioned comfort:

1) Gospel Music Dinner Cruise - All-you-can-eat buffet along with some of your favorite gospel music groups such as Ron Mashburn, Lighthouse Trio, The Henderson's, Heirs of Grace and Rocks of Faith. Be sure to make reservations early for this cruise!

2) Country Comedy Dinner Cruise - All you can eat buffet of seafood, beef and pasta followed by an after-dinner show with Dennis "Moonshine" Rader, formerly of Ocean Opry. This is entertainment the whole family can enjoy!

3) Sunset Dinner-Dance Cruise Includes the all-you-can-eat buffet along with live music and a dance floor for those who want to dance to the lively tunes of the band.

You are also free to venture up to the top level of the yacht and watch the sun set over beautiful St. Andrews Bay. Nothing is more romantic than that!

The cost for these cruises with the entertainment and the buffet are very reasonably priced and they also offer special prices for children as well as discounts for seniors. It is truly a great value for a full evening of fun and entertainment.

One word of caution, however, if you are prone to motion sickness, please be sure to wear either a medicated patch or take some form of anti-motion sickness medication before you board. You would not want to spoil a delightful evening on the water with motion sickness!

Next time you are in Panama City or Panama City Beach, be sure to make reservations for one of these exciting dinner cruises. The food, the ambience and the entertainment are all just fantastic!

Great review Joy. I spent coniderable time on the East coast beaches, only traveled once to the Gulf side and think we picked the worst beach -- Treasure Island or something like that. What you wrote is what I expected...hope to give it another chance. :-)
