Make: Beetle
Type: Compact Car
Year: 2008
As with all my car reviews, I will be grading the automobile in question out of 5 points in a number of different categories. These will be the factors which matter most to you, the average car buyer. Vehicles are not cheap, and it is my job to make sure that you get what you want at a price you can afford. The categories are as follows: Fuel Efficiency, Interior, Exterior, Safety and Value. This will result in a final percentage out of 25. However, you are more likely to value the features you need more, so take my words with a grain of salt.
Fuel Efficiency:
This Beetle variant boasts an impressive 23 mile per galleon combined highway and city fuel economy. This is possible through the efficient use of space in this unique vehicle. Keep this in mind as prices at the pump soar, and think about the financial drain a less-efficient car might present.
Fuel Efficiency Rating: 4/5
Interior:
There is seating for 4 people in this little bug, but the leg room can get a bit small in the rear seats. The rear seats can fold back for extra storage, should the driver need to throw in for his/her journey. The seats are covered in a faux-leather material, and there are many standard audio features one comes to expect on a car, as well as an mp3 jack if you so desire.
Interior Rating: 4/5
Exterior:
Who can not recognize the iconic shape of the classic volkswagen car, re-mastered and improved in this new rendition of that classic car. This sleek model has a convertible hood for those nice summer drives that, when stowed, does not in the slightest detract from the outward appearance of the car. This is a compact car, and although it does not waste any space, it portrays an excellent outward image
Exterior Rating: 5/5
Safety:
The 2008 Beetle has side impact airbags in addition to the normal front-end ones. It has anti-lock disc brakes to better hold up against weights that the driver may put on the car. To round out the safety suite, you've got the special tire-pressure monitoring technology, so as to make trips to pump up your tires fewer.
Safety Rating: 4/5
Value:
For approximately $18,000 USD, you get the basic model of the 2008 Beetle. This is an extraordinary deal for a car that shows off a flashy exterior, and a relatively comfy interior. This car takes value as its highest priority. Your wallet will be more full after you visit the pumps, and you can rest knowing you've made a good choice.
Value Rating: 4.5/5
Final Rating: 21/25
