Career Thought in Focus - Event Planner Coordinator

Always Wanted to Be an Event Coordinator? Here Are Some Basic Key-pointers

MW
If you have ever thought wanting to become an event planner coordinator, this is a very self-rewarding job in itself. Career-wise and the prospects are certainly high because events are always in demand and people are always on the lookout for a good event planner. An event planning job can be very fulfilling, and the time will tick fast when you are already on the clock serving your clients. Customers' satisfaction is number 1, because in any event marketing business, the clientele is the no.1 factor that will make or break.

Take a look at the classified ads on papers and you will find careers in this line aplenty. Even though it is a highly satisfactory job, not many people are willing to give it a go. Perhaps because of the demands and stresses that come with it, and this is also a career that is mostly suited for women, although there are also men venturing into this line. In the course of an event marketing campaign taking into place, there can be say, a wedding event about to take place and at the same time, sales people are running about introducing packages to potential clients making their rounds to check out the venue and stuff like that. What more could be fun than having an actual wedding event in preparatory to be shown as an example.

A successful event planning job needs coordination, dedication and everything in a timely manner. I've watched a show whereby there are 3 wedding events taking place at different consecutive times, and the event planner coordinator was with her checklist, trying to arrange the guests coming in and waiting to be seated, and checking with the bride and groom whether they have already arrived and to make sure the other wedding event guests aren't confused as to which wedding is taking place. And that is all in a day's work. Would be very stressful for someone whom isn't able to take on these types of responsibilities, for sure. But for people whom can take pressure, it would be a very good career for them.

Last but not least, customers' demands, complaints and trying to keep in comply with work standards. A juggle of all of these, it's no wonder that the salary is high for this type of career. It can be fun and fulfilling for the not so faint-hearted, for sure. Last but not least, no one is perfect and if you feel like you want to give this career a go, why not? Go all the way, for you might not know what's in store for you.

This would be an interesting occupation, but I think it would challenge my organizational skills too much. :-)

I've been in positions to organize several events from small to major, and it actually sometimes gets comical behind the scenes at the chaos and frenzy, but I agree with Major about the rewards of having everything fall into place. It's one of those mixtures of exciting and stressful and fun jobs all at once.
