Career Transition Workshop at Crossroads Bible Church in Double Oak, Texas

Arm Yourself for Job-seeking Success

Emilia Zs Rak
I admit it. My husband had to drag me kicking and screaming to attend this Career Transition Workshop. I am over 40 years old. I've always been considered an astute individual from a long line of successful entrepreneurs. Part of that success came from the fact that I'd always made it my business to be on top of all matters related to my employment status. Successful job-seeking was never a problem for me. I figured that the recent difficulty in job-seeking that my husband and I were experiencing was "just because of the economy." It was only a few moments into the first speaker's lecture that I realize just how much things have changed and how much I needed to adjust in order to successfully put myself back into the realm of the employed.

The Crossroads Bible Church sponsors a Career Transition Workshop one Saturday every month on its property located at 8101 FM 407 (Justin Road), Double Oak, Texas 75077. There is ample parking but it would be a good idea to spread the word and carpool with anyone that you may know who is also in the unemployed/underemployed job-seeking boat with you.

This month's Career Transition Workshop will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011. It will begin at 9AM and will conclude at 4PM. There will be a continental breakfast as well as plenty of beverages and snacks and lunch served.

Bring your current resume as the panel of recruiters will critique them as well as guide you, one-on-one as to what you can do to improve your resume.

You will be provided with a workbook that contains all of the information the lecturers will cover in addition to some information that they may not be able to cover due to time constraints. The workbook will be yours to keep.

Space is limited so you must make a reservation in order to be able to attend!

Don't miss out on this valuable FREE opportunity. If you heed my advice and take a few hours from one Saturday this month, you will be glad you did; the same way I am thankful that my husband didn't give me the option to stay home. The information you will gain, the connections you will make will become invaluable tools in your arsenal for job-seeking success. There is no doubt in my mind that with the help this Career Transition Workshop has to offer you will be able to effectively overcome your unemployment/underemployment status and forge ahead regardless of what obstacles the current economy has placed in your path.
