Careless Stripper Kicks Man in the Eye

Man Wins $605k Lawsuit Against Stripper Who Accidentally Kicked Him

A man who was drinking at the bar in Cheetah's club at West Palm Beach got far more of an eyeful than he bargained for, when a stripper walked along the bar collecting tips, and ended up kicking him in the eye, which left him with chronic double vision.

The dancer, Sakeena "Suki" Shageer who hails from England (with a name like that who would have guessed), claims that she was reacting to being smacked on the bum by one of the patrons, although the victim, Michael Ireland, claims that he never touched her.

Michael Ireland filed a lawsuit against the club owners in May 2009, and a week before the trial was due to begin, the owners insurer agreed to pay compensation of $605k.

This isn't the first case where a patron at a strip club has been hit by a dancer, as on a number of occasions a shoe has been known to come off when the dancer has done a powerful kick.

In another case at a club in Pompano Beach, Florida, a dancer's shoe flew into the air, hit a mirror on the ceiling, which smashed and fell onto a patron at the club, who suffered cuts and again sued the club.

It seems that if you are thinking of going to a club where they have exotic dancers, you might get more than you bargained for.

I have heard of a woman giving you double vision, but in this case, the victim really did get that.

I cannot believe he was able to sue for so much money. Why was he sitting so close so as to get kicked in the face?! Sheesh- he had it coming, in my opinion

Someday strip clubs will require their strippers to carry a form of malpractice insurance. Sounds like it's getting expensive to run such a business.

Who'd have thought stripping would be such a dangerous profession?
