Caribbean Blue SPF 45 Sunscreen Lotion for a Perfect Tan

Susan Slade
I use sunscreen every day living in Florida as I don't want to get skin cancer.

This week we are at one of our timeshares on Treasure Island Beach, just south of Clearwater, and north of St. Petersburg beach.

We arrived late afternoon on the Saturday, and while we were in the vehicle, I applied Caribbean Blue SPF 45 Sunscreen Lotion to my face, neck, ears, arms, and the part of my legs that were exposed to the sun.

I walked down to the water's edge, and strolled in the water. The sun started going down, but it still packed some heat.

On the Sunday morning I was up at 6.45 a.m. and again applied my Caribbean Blue SPF 45 Sunscreen to the parts of my body that were not covered with clothing. I walked the beach until 9. a.m. and then headed up to our apartment for breakfast. At 9.45 a.m. I was back walking the beach for another hour and a quarter. I then swam in the ocean, and finally relaxed in a chair, before coming off the beach just before mid-day.

When I showered I had a lovely tan already. Even though the Caribbean Blue has a high SPF factor, the sun, and wind off the sea, gave me a golden glow.

I went down to the swimming pool around 3 p.m., and made sure that I applied the sunscreen to my face, ears, neck, and across my shoulders. Even though I was in the water, these parts would catch the sun.

Then just before 5 p.m. I applied more sunscreen as I was going to walk the beach until the sun set at 7 p.m. The sun was hot for the first hour, but cooled as the sun went down.

All week I continued with this regime. The Caribbean Blue SPF 45 Sunscreen worked great for me. it comes in a 4 fluid ounce bottle with a flip top. It is water resistant, paba-free, and gives UVA and UVB protection.

This is a fairly runny lotion, and it rubs in easily. It has a very pleasant smell.

We were lucky enough to receive at least 6 of these, through my husband's H.M.O., when they gave us $25 of free over the counter items. Unfortunately they no longer do this. The price that they quoted was $5.

When mine runs out I will certainly look for it in retails stores. When you get a product that works, then you really don't want to have to look for an alternative.

DISCLOSURE OF MATERIAL CONNECTION:
A free item through my husband's HMO.
