Carl's Jr, Hardees CEO, Andrew Puzder, to Speak in Sacramento

Lorraine Yapps Cohen
California State Assembly will feature guest speaker, Andrew Puzder, at its Economic Recovery Meeting, Wednesday, March 16, 2011, in Sacramento's CalChamber Building.

Puzder is CEO of CKE Restaurants, Inc., a corporation that includes Carl's Jr., Hardees, and Green Burrito food establishments.

A California original
More than many of these restaurants are located in California, providing jobs, not to mention affordable food, to the economically ravaged state. California is also the founding location of Carl's Jr.

For these reasons, it's easy to see why moving CKE headquarters to Texas would ravage California further. The company seriously considers such a relocation, joining a long list of other businesses leaving the state and taking jobs right along with them.

CA catatonia
Legislators and business groups will hear about California's catatonic business climate firsthand from folks trying to do business in the stiffly regulated state. Just how difficult California makes it for business to operate will become clear...straight from the mouth of one on the way out.

One only wonders whether anyone will listen.
