Carnie Wilson has asked Dr. Oz for help with her weight and health problems. A few weeks ago she appeared on his program and talked about how she has gained back her weight after having opened her heart to him on his show. He put her on the "Truth Tube" and her weight was 218 pounds, her waist size was 41 inches and her blood glucose was 100 which is considered borderline diabetic. Dr. Oz has labeled her "The Queen of Excuses" and many can relate to the excuse theory when it comes to losing weight. Everyone remembers that Carnie was "the fat one" in the old singing group Wilson Phillips which consisted herself, Chynna Phillips, daughter of singer and songwriter John Phillips of the Mamas and Papas and her sister Wendy, both she and Wendy are daughters of Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys and his first wife, Marilyn Rovell. Always having a weight problem, she underwent gastric bypass in 1999 and lost 150 pounds, going from a size twenty-eight to a size six. She even posed nude in Playboy displaying her new body.

So now that Carnie is married to musician Rob Bonfiglio and the mother of two daughters and currently hosts the Newlywed Game and her own reality show called Carnie Wilson: Unstapled, both on the Game Show Network. Due to her busy schedule, she has gained back her weight and appealed to Dr. Oz for help. Dr. Oz asked her point blank, if she wanted his help or did she want him to cut her loose. He said that she has built up so much belly fat that it is poisoning the organs inside of her.

Carnie told Dr. Oz that after the initial show a few weeks ago, she is eating beautiful food. She is having delicious fresh food delivered to her home due to her busy schedule. She has also cut out anything white. She does not eat anything with sugar, white flour and things like white bread and pasta. But Dr. Oz wants her to be responsible for making her own food and walking ten thousand steps twice a week. She did lose seven pounds since she last saw Dr. Oz. He is giving her twelve weeks. When she comes back in May, we will review the results and see how well she does.
