Carrie Prejean Can't Take Hard Questions on Larry King Live

Freida Thomas
Did you happen to see Carrie Prejean on Larry King on Wednesday, Nov. 11th? Well if you missed it, it was strange to say the least. Prejean was on King's show to discuss her new book, Still Standing. It was clearly evident that Ms. Prejean thought Larry King's questions "inappropriate" when he asked her why she recently "settled" with the Miss USA pageant after filing a libel suit back in August 2009 with them for religious discrimination and defamation after she lost her crown.

After several minutes of evident growing frustration, the situation comes to a head when Larry King accepts a phone call for Ms. Prejean. Evidently there had been a no-caller agreement made between Prejean and Larry King show producers. At this point, Ms. Prejean unhooked her microphone and threatened to leave the show.

After the break, King returned and apologized to Ms. Prejean for accepting the call and not being clued in by producers of the prior no-caller agreement. Barely escaping a crisis, King then changed his question to "What are you planning to do next?" Ms. Prejean decided to finish the show. Is she smart and just loves to draw attention to herself, especially since she now has a book to sell? Or is she just a narcissist who "seeks" any attention, be it positive or negative? Maybe she's just a hypocrite. I can think of many things she is, but "moral" is not one of them.

If there is anyone out there who has not followed this story, I'd like to give a little background leading up to the present.

June 2009-Prejean loses her title of "Miss California", and files lawsuit against Pageant

The lawsuit came after Ms. Prejean lost her status of Miss California back in June 09. She believes she lost her crown as a result of her answer to a question during the pageant about gay marriage. When asked about gay marriage, the biblically correct Ms. Prejean stated that because of her religious beliefs, she doesn't believe in gay marriage. This gained her some negative points with the judges. The Pageant countersued Prejean for payback of the money she was given for breast implants.

Excuse me? If you know anything about Carrie Prejean from all the controversy which has followed her since the pageant, she is hardly eligible to comment on anything that slightly resembles moral values. Prejean created a sex tape of herself when she was 17 and sent it to her boyfriend, because she loved and trusted him and didn't think it would ever come back to haunt her. She must have been dumb from the start, or should I say she is someone that is just lacking in moral values? That's probably more like it.

Since that tape, RadarOnline.com reported on Nov. 13, 09 that they have discovered that dethroned Prejean actually has 7 more sex tapes and 30 naked photos to her credit. Apparently the photos were taken by Miss Prejean using her own reflection in a mirror and she was performing solo in each of them. Pardon me, but I think she is just plain trashy.

Nov. 9, 2009-Lawsuit is dropped between Prejean and Pageant after Sex Tape is Revealed

During a recent negotiation session between Prejean and Pageant officials, the sex tape was revealed and shown to Prejean. At first she denied it was her in the tape, then within minutes, she dropped the suit and settled, meaning she won't have to repay the pageant for her "boob job."

Nov. 12, 2009-Prejean acts like a six year old and pouts on Larry King Live

Then, this week on Larry King, she refuses to answer King's question about the settlement, accuses Larry of "inappropriate" questions, and takes her microphone off and threatens to leave the show. Did Larry King cross the line because he posed the question to Prejean? Absolutely not, in my opinion. This Ms. Prejean, who states in her new book, According to the interview on the Today show Tuesday, November 10, 09, Prejean talks in her new book Still Standing, about her Christian beliefs and the prevalence of pornography and how young women should resist the pressures of sex and popular culture. She writes "our bodies are temples of the Lord. We should earn respect and admiration for our hearts and, not for showing skin to look sexy." This statement makes me believe that Carrie Prejean is nothing but a hypocrite. Sure she stated that the first sex tape she made at 17 of herself was the biggest mistake she's ever made and that she is sorry she ever made it, but to make 7 more plus 30+ naked photos of herself, is not a mistake. She chose to do this and she is a liar, plain and simple. She certainly hasn't learned from her "mistakes."

Conclusion

Carrie Prejean is a sick young individual in my opinion and I'm sure this is not the last time this controversial woman will be in the news. I'm pretty sure it won't be in a positive light either. I think she's received enough of the spotlight. Enough already of Carrie Prejean.
