Carroll Gardens Throws Green Block Party

Saturday, October 2 a green block party is planned for the neighborhood. The event will be co-sponsored by Hudson Companies, which developed Third + Bond. GreenHomeNYC will be co-sponsoring as well. Tours will be given of the residential development which will likely be EnergyStar and LEED-Gold certified.
The tour will focus on teaching residents what exactly goes into making a building green.
Lessons on installing and planting a green roof, conducting home energy audits, and other educational activities are planned.
The block party is a first for GreenHomeNYC. The Carroll Gardens block party will be from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Third Street between Hoyt and Bond streets.
