Carson's Creekside is a restaurant that has a great view of water. You can eat inside or outside on their large porch. There is also a dock where you can see the ducks and seagull fly and swim by. The inside is nice and quiet. This is casual dining at it's finest. The view and the atmosphere is very impressive.
I went here about one in the afternoon and had no problem getting a good seat inside with a great view of the boats and water. There was only two in my party but we were treated very well.
The waiter was David and he was very nice. He had a great sense of humor. He gave us plenty of time to decide what we wanted to eat and he brought our drinks out first. He made sure that our drinks were full all the time and dirty dishes were removed from the table as quickly as possible.
I also ordered the crab pretzel for an appetizer. This was a large pretzel made fresh with cream cheese, yellow cheese, and crab meat spread over the top. The flavor was very good. It was however, a little too much cream cheese for my taste. This was not priced bad either at $9.50.
The next thing we ordered was the cream of crab. We ordered it in a bowl for $4.50 each. The soup was very good. There was large pieces of crab meat all through it. I would recommend this soup to all who like cream of crab soup.
Our main course was a dish called seafood club sandwich. This was priced at $11.00. What the sandwich is exactly is a three ounce crab cake slice of tomato and lettuce then a piece of bread, followed by shrimp salad and another piece of lettuce and tomato. This sandwich was very tall to say the least. I did enjoy this though. I did not eat this as a sandwich though. I ate the crab cake first and that was very good. I then put the bread on the shrimp salad and ate the Sandwich. This was well worth the price to me. The taste was also very good.
I was so full buy the time I got done my sandwich that I did not get desert.
The parking area is ample for the restaurant. The lot is mostly gravel and you just pull into a spot and that is it. You can see the water view as you walk to the front door of the restaurant.
The reason we went to this restaurant was because I bought a coupon off of Restaurant.com. Restaurant.com is a web site that sells gift certificates for local restaurants half price. I bought a $25.00 gift certificate here for $5.00. This is a very interesting web site. Once you buy the certificate you can print it out at your own printer. This means you can buy your certificate the same day you want to use it. My bill for the dinner was $47.78 but thanks to restaurant.com it only cost me about $22.00 for a great meal and a great view. If you use this web site you will be able to visit different restaurants in your area, more often. This site will make restaurants you thought you could not afford more affordable.
I may have only went to this restaurant because of the coupon but I liked the food and the atmosphere so much that I will make another trip back. Carson's Creekside a nice place to relax and have a good meal.
