Cartman's biggest enemy is Kyle. Kyls is a jew and that is something that Cartman cannot stand. In almost every episode he makes fun of Kyle's religion. He believes the movie referred to as "The Passion" was Mel Gibson's way of telling the world to be like Nazi's and exterminate the Jews.
Being the way that he is, Cartman does not have many friends. Everyone knows how twisted and messed up he is. They also know that if they don't act nice to him he might do something crazy to them. Most of the time Cartman is only thinking of myself. In the episode called Casa Bonita he tells another South Park character named Butters that a meteoroid is coming towards Earth. He takes Butters to a bomb shelter and keeps him there for days occasionally coming back to bring news about how the earth was totally destroyed. He tells him anything to keep him down there because the truth is that Butters was invited to go to Cartman's favorite restaurant. Cartman was not invited but was told if something "happened" and Butters couldn't make it then he could take his place. Butter's parents think that he's been kidnapped the entire time. However, he couldn't hide him forever and the boy was eventually discovered. Cartman was arrested but he didn't care. To him, it was all worth it.
Surprisingly Cartman does do a few things that would make him appear to be a decent person but he always has an alternate motive. In the episode "Smug Alert!" Cartman goes to San Francisco to rescue Kyle and his family. The only reason he really did it was because he was lonely without having Kyle to rip on all the time. He wanted to make fun of him so bad that he saved his life.
The only way to get to Cartman is to either ignore him or call him fat. Anything else will just add fuel to his fire. Despite how bad of a person he is somehow he's managed to have a few good friends to hang out with. This is the main theme for South Park's entire show. Cartman and his friends going on crazy, controversial adventures together. If you haven't seen this show try to at least watch the episodes I've mentioned.
